Tianjin State University of Foreign Languages ​​is a key educational institution under the Tianjin Municipality and specializes in advanced language and cultural studies. TJFSU offers a wide range of language programs for students of all backgrounds.

TJFSU was founded in 1964 as an Industrial College. Later, in 1974, having merged with the Institute of Foreign Languages, the institution was named “Tianjin University of Foreign Languages” of the highest category. Since 1981, the institution has been providing training for foreign students.

TJFSU has two campuses – Machang Road Campus and Binhai Campus, with a total area of ​​about 70 hectares. The Machang Road campus is located in the central area of ​​Wudadao City, and a number of buildings within it are assessed as heritage architecture, making the campus culturally unique. The Binghai campus boasts scenic landscapes and is located in an eco-friendly university complex in the Dagan area. Various sports facilities on campus enrich the daily life of students. Both campuses have gyms equipped with badminton and volleyball courts, gyms and swimming pools.

  • 2,800 teachers, of which more than 50% are specialized specialists, 22% are doctors of science; every year more than 100 international experts and teachers are invited to work at the university;

TJFSU has 14 colleges and departments that provide both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. In addition, a number of non-degree programs are available for students in need of training. A total of 31 student programs are offered within three disciplines. Four of them received national awards and another 12 received prizes from the local government.

Admission and tuition fees

Admission to TJFSU is made on the general basis provided by the Ministry of Education of the PRC. The applicant is obliged to provide the admissions committee in addition to the Certificate for 11 classes – an HSK certificate with a score of at least 4. Since training at the university takes place in Chinese, his knowledge must correspond to high indicators.

Tuition fees at TJFSU:

Grants

TJFSU, a multidisciplinary university, provides legal grants to international students at the same level as local ones. Therefore, students with a high subject score are eligible for preferential tuition at a discount of 100%, 50% or 20% for Bachelor’s degrees.
