(Tsinghua University) is a higher education institution in China. The institution began its work in 1911. The main building of the university is located in Beijing, occupying the territory of the city campus.

The first overseas students entered Tsinghua University in 1978. Teaching is conducted in Chinese, with some international programs being taught in English.

How to Apply for study?

Those wishing to start their undergraduate studies at Tsinghua University must meet the following requirements:

  • be no older than 25;
  • have a document confirming complete secondary education;
  • have an HSK level 6 certificate.

Applicants under the age of 40 who have a specialist or bachelor’s degree, an HSK level 6 certificate and have successfully passed the entrance exams can enter the master’s program.

You can submit documents for undergraduate programs until April 2 in electronic form and until April 9 in print.

Exams take place on May 15th.

Those wishing to enroll in the magistracy submit documents until March 1.

Chinese language courses are held twice a year: from October 15 to December 15, you can apply for training in the spring, from March 15 to June 15 – for training in the fall.

Grants

All rooms of the university dormitory have the necessary furniture and equipment, including Internet access, telephone, air conditioning, color TV. You can reserve a room in the hostel after receiving the Invitation Letter of Enrollment online; a passport is required to check in. Bank cards and cash are accepted for payment. A double room with an en-suite bathroom will cost about 40 yuan, a single room costs twice as much.
