State Medical University Taishan International Education was founded in 1891 to implement international strategic developments, encouraging the high level of international educational programs. He is mainly responsible for teaching and managing the education of international students, which is why there are more than 800 foreign students studying here who wish to obtain a higher medical degree. TMU has practical and scientific arrangements for theoretical teaching, laboratory hands-on, hospital rotations, etc.
The International University is located in Tai’an (Shandong Province, China). Until 1903, the institution was called Taishan Medical College. But after successful accreditation by the state authorities, it was renamed the Higher University. In November 2006, the school successfully passed the first round of the Bachelor’s degree program assessed by the Ministry of Education and achieved excellent results. TSMU is currently the first batch of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health pilot universities and colleges for an outstanding postgraduate physician training program.

Taishan Medical University covers an area of 200 hectares, on the territory of which there is 1 affiliated hospital, 11 inpatient hospitals and more than 230 practical and internship bases, as well as research laboratories, training centers, sports clubs, a hostel, a cafeteria, and a cafe.

Admission and tuition fees
Admission to the TSMU institution for a Bachelor’s degree is allowed for persons whose age does not go beyond 18-40 years old. The student is obliged to provide the admission committee with a Certificate for 11 classes or a Diploma from the previous place of study, passport and medical certificate. When applying for a Master’s degree, there is also an age limit and is no more than 50 years old.
Registration period: early September.
Tuition fees at TSMU per year:
- Bachelor’s degree from 18,000 to 23,000 yuan;
- Master’s degree from 20,000 to 25,500 yuan;
- registration mandatory fee – 240-500 yuan one-time;
- insurance – 600 yuan;
Upon acceptance, the TMU will mail the “Notice of Admission to Taishan Medical University”, “Visa Application Form for Foreigners” (Form Jw202). “Physical Examination Form” and “Related Materials”.
Grants
The international educational institution TSMU provides successful students with legislative grants that entitle them to preferential tuition for undergraduate degrees. Dormitory
Taishan Medical University provides all nonresident students with accommodation on campus in a comfortable dormitory. The cost of living in a single standard room is 11,000 yuan per year, and a double room is 4,000 yuan per person. Short-term stay is 60 RMB per day.
