Abbreviated – JSUT
Jiangsu Institute of Technology is located in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province with a developed economy and rich culture, famous for the historical and cultural significance of the Yangtze River. JSUT is a public higher education institution jointly established by central and local governments and mainly administered by Jiangsu Province. The institution is one of the significant universities characteristic of vocational education in China, encompassing 8 faculties or academic disciplines, i.e. engineering, literature, science, education, economics, management, jurisprudence and art, with a focus on various fields of technology.
JSUT University was established in 1984 as the Jiangsu Institute of Technology. In 2002, it was renamed to Jiangsu University of Technology Superior Category.

The JSUT institution adheres to an open learning form, focusing on Sino-foreign cooperation, academic exchange and research cooperation, and actively promotes an international teaching strategy. He actively collaborates with the University of St. Francis Xavier and the National University of Ireland Maynooth. JSUT actively serves the national industry, local economic construction and social development, and has established comprehensive cooperative relationships with China Petrochemical Corporation, local governments and state-owned enterprises.
JSUT adheres to a unique ideology of development, according to which the following motto was formed – “The university has its own unique characteristics, all specialties have their own distinctive features, and each student demonstrates his strengths.” As a result, the institution has successfully cultivated high-level specialized talent to meet the needs of economic and social development. Since its inception, more than 50,000 executives have been trained to serve local economic and social development.
Over the past 5 years, JSUT has conducted over 200 provincial and national research projects, including the National Science and Technology Support Program. As well as over 300 research projects supported by major global enterprises.
Composition and infrastructure of the university
JSUT University has two campuses, Wujin and Baiyun, with a total area of 502,000 m2. It currently has 21 training schools and several research centers with over 60 undergraduate majors and mainstreams covering 8 academic disciplines. There is a large and modern library on campus with a total volume of 1.383 million printed books.
The main structure of the JSUT University:
- 1,200 teachers, of which more than 510 are professors and associate professors, and 138 candidates of sciences;
- 17,600 students, of which more than 10% are foreigners.
JSUT University has attracted more than 50 professors as postgraduate teachers, and more than 100 renowned experts and scientists, including academics from the China Academy of Engineering (CAE), who have become honorary professors on a full-time basis.

Grants
When applying to JSUT, international students can count on legal grants and scholarships of various levels. The President’s Scholarship is awarded only to successful students in the amount of RMB 7,000 per academic year.
Students who successfully complete their first year of study at JUST can apply for a Presidential Scholarship from their second year. For international students over the next three years, 7,000 yuan per academic year or as a subsidy as part of the tuition fee.
Students who are awarded the HSK 4 certificate will be awarded additional scholarships of RMB 1,000.

Dormitory
JUST University provides all nonresident students with accommodation on campus in a student residence. The average cost of living in an international student room is 130 RMB per night. The cost of a standard double room is RMB 3000 per month.
