Location: Wenzhou, China
(official name – Wenzhou University China, abbreviated – WZU, in Chinese – 温州 大学) is an internationally recognized state accredited educational institution. Therefore, students from many countries of the world study here. The University actively participates in international programs in order to implement the chosen strategy of internationalization education. WZU teachers attach great importance to international education, therefore, they include international research in various sciences in their training programs.
WZU University was founded in 1933 and was called the College. Later in 1984 it passed state accreditation and became known as the Highest Institution of China of international standard.

The university is one of the ancient native speakers of the Chinese language with a specific Wenzhou dialect, so foreign students study their Bachelor’s degree in English.
Admission and tuition fees at WZU
Admission is made on the same basis as in other institutions in China. That is, the student must provide a Certificate for 11 classes, an international passport and a medical card. Before entering the Bachelor’s degree, students take preparatory courses that last from 4 to 12 months. Based on the results of testing, the first course is enrolled. The cost of training depends on the chosen direction and ranges from 20,000 to 45,000 yuan per year.
Grants
International students who have a high subject score are eligible for legislative grants. Grants provide an opportunity for free or preferential education at the university. To receive grants, you must apply in advance.
Studying programs
Wenzhou University provides 9 disciplines of international education, which include 55 programs available to international students.
The multidisciplinary university WZU offers specialized training, namely:
- obtaining a certificate – 1 year;
- short-term preparatory courses – from 2 to 12 months;
- specialized courses, advanced training – 2 years;
- Bachelor’s degree – from 3 to 5 years;
- Master’s degree – from 1 to 3 years
- Doctorate – over 4 years.
The duration of the preparatory courses depends on the chosen direction and the comprehensive preparation of the student.

On campus, the College of Chemistry and Engineering is located, which offers specialized training in such Bachelor’s programs as: chemistry, applied chemistry, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering.
Dormitory
The WZU provides a student residence that is located on the main campus. In order to be guaranteed to get a room in a hostel, you must indicate this information in the application when submitting the initial application.
