Admission and tuition fees at HKUST
Admission to the university is carried out on a general basis provided for by the legislation of China. The student provides the admissions committee with a Certificate for 11 grades with grades, an international passport, a resume and, if necessary, the results of the SAT Reasoning Test in English proficiency. The questionnaire is filled out only online, which is located on the official website of the HKUST institution. The entire package of documents, certified by a notary, is transferred to the university in advance also online, but upon direct admission, the student must provide them to the admissions committee in paper form.
Tuition fees at HKUST per year:
- Undergraduate – $ 5,000 to $ 7,000;
- Master’s degree – from 7,000 to 10,000 dollars;
- compulsory insurance premium – 600 yuan.
Students who have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree course with proven high performance are eligible to continue with a Master’s degree. At the same time, the student has the right to receive a state scholarship in the amount of 1300-1500 US dollars.
Grants
HKUST University provides grants to foreign students who are eligible to receive benefits for the entire course of study in the amount of 100%, 50% or 20%. To do this, it is necessary to submit the relevant documents in advance, which indicate the high academic performance of the student. Legislative grants are issued to students who have at least 6.0 IELTS test results and at least 80 TOEFL IBT test results. Since training for foreign students is conducted in English, passing the exam is required.
