Xinjiang University State First Medical Hospital is the first teaching hospital on the western border of Urumqi district in Xinjiang province. FAH-XMU is closely related to the renowned Xinjiang Medical University (Xinjiang Medical University). FAH is the first public grade 3 (A + category) hospital in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Prefecture to be certified by JCI, HIMSS EMRAM stage-6, AAALAC and other international certification bodies. This fact testifies to highly qualified training.

FAH University was founded in 1956 as the College of Clinical Medicine. Giving a specialized scientific education and creating talented young doctors, FAH-XMU was successfully re-certified in 2008, which made it possible to rename it to a university of the highest category. Now foreign students are studying here who wish to obtain a higher medical degree.

FAH-XMU occupies a leading position in China and is consistently ranked among the top 10 medical institutions in China. The first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang Medical University Autonomous Region is a complex of medical research, prevention and management of a large-scale integrated research hospital, the largest “three-dimensional” autonomous region.

After China’s first successful treatment of intracranial cholangiocarcinoma through external liver tumor resection and autologous liver transplantation in 2005, the hospital became the first in China to use liver transplantation in the treatment of hepatic alveolar echinococcosis in 2010.

University composition and infrastructure

FAH-XMU Hospital currently has 2,100 beds. The total number of employees is 1894, and the total number of hospital staff is 2800. There are 2325 medical workers, 262 highly qualified medical specialists, 62 doctors of medical sciences, 301 medical degrees, 565 undergraduates, 1397 medical specialists and surgeons.

The hospital has a huge area of ​​168,000 m2, of which 106,500 m2 belongs to health care structures. The training area is 17,000 m2, the research area is 12,700 m2. Approximately 44% of the entire campus is grass and parks. The hospital has complete medical testing equipment and traditional sets of high-tech equipment of international level.

Admission and tuition fees

Admission to FAH-XMU University is made on the general basis provided by Chinese law. Only those students who have a general subject score above 80 can study at the university.

The cost of training at FAH ranges from 5,000 to 12,000 USD per year, depending on the chosen direction. Each student is required to have a high degree of knowledge so that the graduate is in demand in any country in the world as a highly qualified specialist who has completed practice in the best clinic in Asia.

Grants

FAH-XMU University offers grants only to those students who have an overall subject score of at least 90. Such students can count not only on preferential tuition, but also on a scholarship from the PRC government.
