Beijing Normal University was established in 1902, and became the first Normal University in China. Today, the university trains specialists in 52 specialties. The university also prepares graduate students and doctors.

Description

(the official name is full – Beijing Normal University, abbreviated – BNU, informal – Beishida) is one of the oldest educational institutions in Beijing. The University carries out highly qualified training of teachers of different directions, specialists in science and arts. Peking University of Pedagogy began its activities in 1902, when it was called Upper Class College, but was soon renamed Capital University. The new BNU campus is located in the northwest corner of the Haidian Scenic Area, in close proximity to the central square. Admission and tuition fees

Admission to BNU Peking Normal University is subject to a general legal basis. The incoming student must provide the BNU Admissions Committee with a Certificate on the basis of 11 grades in English and an international passport. Students who have a high GPA in subjects are automatically enrolled in the first year. The rest of the students are given preparatory courses, which last from 6 months to one year.

The cost of a full academic course:

  • in English (Bachelor’s degree) – 24,000 – 25,000 yuan / year;
  • in Chinese (Bachelor’s degree) – 24,000 – 28,000 yuan / year;
  • in Chinese (Master’s degree) – from 30,000 yuan;
  • registration fee is one-time – 500 yuan.

Students enrolled in 1 course are provided with 38 research centers and laboratories, several sports grounds, a huge modern on-line library, a cozy hostel and a dining room.

Grants

For foreign students, there is a grant program that gives the right to receive a discount on a full course of study in the amount of 100%, 50% or 20% of the total cost. Grants are awarded on an individual basis according to the results of the IFP preparatory program, as well as the subject complex score. In this case, the purchased discount applies only to the first academic year. For each subsequent year, students re-submit the necessary documents for a grant.

The cost of paid accommodation is from 40 to 80 yuan per day per student. At the same time, free accommodation is provided for those students who have grants.
